The new Multi-Recording functions revolutionize the concept of photos and movies

Features two imaging engines, allowing for parallel image processing and making possible what was unachievable until now. For instance, simultaneous recording of Full HD movies and 16M phos, or simultaneous recording of two movies. Offers a bland new "Photo & Movie" style by combining the best of the 24x zoom and Multi-Recording functions.

 

Multi-Recording functions

A single camera for photos and movies that offers 5 great, convenient and fun functions

1. Photo & Movie Capture

Shoot as many "Beautiful Photos" as you like while recording "Movies" without interrupting movie recording.

2. Multi-Framing Movies

The camera can record simultaneously a wide shot and a close-up frame as two movies. And the new concept of assist framing is fantastic as well.

3. Photo with Movie Clip

While you shoot "Photos", a "Movie" will be recorded automatically as well.

4. Multi-File Movies

Simultaneous recording of Full HD movies and small-sized movies.

5. Magic Filter and Original Movie

The camera can record simultaneously a movie using "Magic Filters" and the "Original" movie.

 

16Megapixels Backlit CMOS Sensor

"Lower Noise" and "More Efficient Light Condensing" mean superb image quality at full zoom and also for Full HD movies.

24x optical zoom

Shooting at the full range of the optical zoom usually results in "camera blur" and "increased noise", but "DUAL IS" reduces camera blur "CMOS Sensor" reduces noise.

 

Full HD Movie

You can use the "24x Optical Zoom" when you cannot get physically close to the subject. You can enjoy Full HD movies with the "superior image quality" of a "CMOS Sensor".

CMOS sensor are also great for high-speed image processing so "High-Speed Continuous Shooting" is another forte of this camera.

 

Auto Split Shooting

High-speed continuous shooting of up to 9 full-size photos per second

Images recorded while the shutter button is pressed are automatically split into up to 9-16 frames, so you don't have to worry about not having enough frames from a sequence.

 

Hand-Held Starlight Mode

You can shoot night scenes without blur holding the camera in your hands, without a tripod

Get beautiful night shots without blur and with reduced noise even in the darkest parts of the image

 

Smart Panorama

Set "AUTO" in Panorama mode, and shoot panoramas easily, just by panning the camera sideways or up and down.

 

Magic Filters*2

The SZ-10 features an expanded range of 8 Magic Filters (Pop, Pin Hole, Fisheye, Sketch, Soft Focus, Punk, Watercolor and Sparkle). Furthermore, Magic Movies recordings are available in Pop, Pin Hole, Sketch Soft Focus, Punk and Watercolor delivering distinct look and artistic feel.

*2 While shooting using Magic Filters, the frame rate may change depending on the filter used. The types of Magic Filters that can be used for shooting movies is limited.
*3 Only TV sets compatible with HDMI-CEC. Some functions may be limited depending on the TV used.
*4 Depending on the subject and shooting conditions the camera may not be able to correctly detect faces
*5 The 3D effect cannot be obtained when shooting moving subjects. Movies cannot be recorded. The 3D file recorded conforms to the Multi-Picture Format standardized by CIPA.
